Colerain hosted Finneytown today. Field conditions were very wet and extremely soft.

JV

Field conditions played a factor in the 2-0 loss today. Colerain seemed to have trouble adapting to the wet conditions. With the ground so wet and soggy the ball was not traveling as normal, thus causing a lot of passes coming up short, footing was also at a premium. Fairfield was able to score once in the first half and once in the second, doing a good job of using short passes to move the ball. This game, for the most part, was played between the 30's.

Varsity

Following the JV game the field conditions deteriorated. This game saw a lot of slipping and sliding. Thirteen minutes into the first half Finneytown scored on a well shot ball from the right side about 10 yards out and about 5 yards from the sideline. The shot was solid to the opposite top corner of the net. Nine minutes into the second half the Wildcats scored again off of a free kick 5 yards outside of the box. That would end the scoring for the game. Colerain played hard but was unable to generate many quality shots on goal.

Colerain travels to Harrison on Monday.

Good Luck Cardinals!!!!
