The cross country teams competed in the Greater Miami Conference Championships this week at Voice of America park in West Chester, Ohio, with both teams securing a third place finish in the 10 team conference. The girls were led up front by junior Allison Steinbeck, who finished 9th with a time of 19:49 followed by senior Kristen Wells, finishing 10th in 19:59, and junior Sam Work (13th, 20:04). Juniors Marisel Lopez (20:47), and Stacey Sulken (21:11) finished out the top 5. On the boy's side, the team's first top three finish in 10 years was led by a great front pack of senior Jeffrey Denny (8th, 16:42), sophomore Erik Tomczewski (10th, 16:47) and junior Craig Sulken (13th, 16:49). Senior Zach Burt ran well with a time of 17:06, and junior Victor Zeinner recovered from injury and sickness to run a 17:41. The girls are ranked 7th in the city, while the boys are currently ranked 6th. Several athletes also made the all-conferences teams:
