Former QB Tabar "best athlete in the city"

That is if you are Mount St. Joseph Recruiting Coordinator Kyle Prosser who, in an article for TriStateFootball.com (Lions Look To Local Prospects), individually points out former Colerain signal -caller Greg Tabar ('10).

"We felt like we got the best athlete in the city with Greg Tabar from Colerain," recruiting coordinator Kyle Prosser said. "We are doing really well with the 275 loop and we got some bright spots coming in from outside the area as well."

More quotes from Tabar and others and a great write-up on Mount St. Joseph by TriStateFootball.com founder Dan Clasgens are available at the above link. It's a great site and the folks at TriStateFootball.com do a tremendous service for prep football in the tri-state area. Check it out!

Congratulations to Greg and best wishes on your future at Mount St. Joseph. You may soon be a lion, but you will ALWAYS be a CARDINAL!

We knew she was a special athlete when she wore the Cardinal colors. It comes as no surprise that graduate Emily Schwaeble ('09) is continuing her outstanding play at the next level.

Remarks regarding Dan Wallace:

Dan comes to us with an emphasis on defense. He will push our team to play physical, tough defense and see the entire basketball floor offensively. Dan is an outstanding game coach who is recognized for his ability to make successful game-time adjustments on the go. The enthusiasm and dedication to the game of basketball he displayed was contagious. He is a local guy with ties to our community and schools that gives us an embedded pride in what we do at Colerain. Colerain Football Alum a "Spring Eye Opener"

A perusal of the Brian Bennett's Big East Football blog on ESPN.com turned up an interesting tidbit...

"It's hard to be more anonymous than a backup center, even on a BCS bowl team. Davis waited behind Chris Jurek for two years before getting a crack at the starting job this spring. He didn't disappoint, playing extremely well and giving the Bearcats peace of mind at that crucial position."
(Spring Eye Openers in the Big East)

Former Colerain Cardinal Evan Davis looks to make his mark on the 2-time defending Big East champion Bearcats this year and is already off to a great start.

Congratulations to Evan on a great start and best of luck in securing the starting position this fall.
