Colerain rolled up an electric 558 yards of rushing on its way to a 48-24 victory over a pesky Lakota East team on Friday night at The Cage. Colerain forced a punt on East's first series and quickly scored on a 17 yard TD run by QB Greg Tabar on its ensuing drive. East did not get rattled by the Cardinals fast start, however. Behind the running of Pedro Powell and the passing of Stephen Donoghue East put together two very nice drives to leave the score 14-10 with just a minute left in the 1st quarter after a 5 yard TD run by Powell. Tabar took an option keeper up the middle and sprinted down the right sideline for a 50 yard touchdown as time expired in the first quarter and with Jordan Pleasants extra point the score moved to 21-10 and the momentum was all with the Cardinals. The play of the night came just before halftime when Junior RB, Tyler Williams, fielded a punt at his own 37, cut left down the Colerain sideline, picked up a block and then cut all the way back across the field at the East 40 and out ran the East coverage team on his way to a 63 yard punt return TD.
Williams also lead the Cardinals in rushing with 219 yards on just 11 carries.

News: Junior LB, Jarret Grace, picked up scholarship offers from Colorado and West Virginia this week bringing his total to three offers (Cincinnati).
