Colerain played Lakota East at Colerain. Although the Cards lost 2-0, the match for the most part was controlled by Colerain. East was able to score 2 goals in the first half on simple runs starting at midfield. Colerain did a good job of moving the ball around the field and applying pressure; unfortunately they were not able to score a goal on many a attempted shots. Zach Raymond did an excellent job in the middle playing an aggressive game, fighting for every ball and showing an "I hate to lose' attitude.

East came out strong tonight, setting the pace for what would be a long night for the Cardinals. The game was dominated by East's "under control" style of play. East's defense set the game's tempo by patiently controlling the ball and moving the back and forth across the field until they found a spot to penetrate. East was able to score 1 goal in the first half and 1 goal in the second half, winning 2-0. Although Colerain looked much better in the second half, being more aggressive and pushing forward, the "run and gun" style of play did not generate any points on this night.

Colerain's next match is Saturday against Elder.
