First, Colerain has to beat Huber Heights Wayne (Saturday, 3 p.m.) and Elder has to beat Clayton Northmont (Saturday, 7 p.m.) in the Division I regional football semifinals at UC's Nippert Stadium this weekend.
Scenarios for the Saturday, Nov. 15 regional final (7 p.m. kickoff):
-Should it be Colerain-Elder (as most expect), the game almost certainly would be at Nippert. That is the word from OHSAA assistant commissioner Hank Zaborniak, in a telephone interview today.
-Should it be Wayne-Northmont, Zaborniak said it probably would be played at Dayton's Welcome Stadium.
-Should it be a Cincinnati team against a Dayton team, Zaborniak said the game probably would be at Nippert primarily because of more seating capacity.
Nothing will be set until Sunday (Nov. 9), when the OHSAA makes the official pairings for all regional finals.
