Interesting notes/comments on the 2009 Schedule:
- The Cardinals will face Moeller, St. Xavier and Elder in 3 consecutive weeks. Even though the Moeller game is only a scrimmage, anyone whose ever been to that scrimmage knows that it's well attended and is played with "real game" like intensity.
- The Cardinals will face St. Xavier in week 1 for the third time in a five year stretch ('05, '08 & '09) all as part of the Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown.
- The Week 2 contest against Elder will be the first time the teams have met on either's home field during the regular season. Early indications are that the game may be televised within the ESPN family of networks.
- Week 3 brings a very good, Division I size, Louisville team to the Cage in Dupont Manual. Expect them to rate similar to a top-tier GMC team. Colerain heads to Louisville in 2010 for the return engagement.
- GMC "Can't Miss" Game of the Year:
Week 9 @ home vs. Middletown
The Cardinals will look to avenge their regular season loss from a year ago @ Middletown when the Cardinals fell in week 7, 42-39 ending their GMC winning streak at 61 games. It's the final home game of the year and Senior Recognition night so the Cage should be rocking!

It looks to be another great year for Colerain football. Clear your schedules now and plan to make as many games as you can as this season will be as good as any in highlighting the hard work and effort put in by the student-athletes and the coaching staff at Colerain.

WE ARE...COLERAIN! WE ARE...COLERAIN!!
