It is a distinct possibility. I just got off the phone with Colerain AD Dan Bolden and he is very much as confused by what is going on as much as the rest of us. Everything has happened so fast (last 24 hours) that there are way more questions than answers at this point.
Here is what I was able to confirm:
1) Colerain will not move from the Skyline Event in week 1. So, playing the Herbstriet in Columbus in week 1 is a definite 'Out' for Colerain. Colerain has been very loyal to the Skyline people over the years and will remain so.
2) It is possible that Colerain and Elder, if left out in the cold, could play in Week 2 this season if an opponent for Colerian can be found for Week 1 at the Skyline event. Nothing is set in stone for this to happen but Bolden did confirm that it was a possibility.
